Much of Lagos is only 1m above sea level, meaning ground water supplies are getting polluted. Currently, they mostly have septic tanks draining into open gullies. New laws are now in place, meaning treatment plants are needed and local government is enforcing the new regulations, with letters already being received by companies. New buildings need to meet consent and there are lots of new builds.
